Pettitte, Yankees Reach 1YR / $11.75MM Deal, Updated

andy-pettitteJon Heyman is reporting via twitter that the talks between Andy Pettitte and the Yankees have sped up and a deal “will be finalized today.”

This, folks, is very good for the Yankees. Not re-signing Pettitte would have been a crime since he wanted to stay in New York.

Update: According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, the exact value of Pettitte’s deal is expected to be $11.75 million.

    Well, $11.75MM is a very reasonable price for Pettitte.
