Save the Yankee Gate 2 Video – Try Not to Cry

This is a great video that really shows off the Old Yankee Stadium in a dramatic way. It’s really moving and it makes you realize what’s at stake – the Old Stadium is coming down and they’re not planning on saving any of it.

I hate to go all cause-head on you, but you should watch this video and give a moment of your time to the Save the Yankee Gate 2 cause. It’s a group trying to preserve a small part of the stadium that still exists from when they first built it in 1922.

Wow, this video is truly moving. It is also a fantastic idea and I would 100% be all for it.

  3. I just sent a message in to Parks Commissioner Benepe, Mayor Bloomberg, the Design Commissioner, and the Bronx Boro President. It took 2 minutes.

  4. here is what I wrote:

Please Mayor Bloomberg–save gate 2 from Yankee Stadium. we have lost SO many things from the old days..Penn station etc..you know all the names. this is a small piece that would mean so much to so many of us. I know longer live in the city but i spent 27 years there and consider myself a lifelong new yorker—i know you are a busy man and these are trying times..but hey–you made time for salt..make a little time for an important piece of history. respectfully yours, michael fierman

  5. Chris Barrows says:

With a post on FB linking to this page, I actually convinced non-Yankee fans to do the same thing…

  6. She-Fan says:

IF ITS A MONEY ISSUE LETS CALL THAT GUY FROM VIRGIN INCORPORATED "SIR" WHOEVER AND ASK HIM FOR HELP. THIS IS A MONUMENT NOT JUST TO THE YANKEES, BUT THE ENTIRE GAME OF BASEBALL. IF FOR SOME REASON IT CAN'T BE AGREED TO KEEP IT NEAR THE NEW PARK, ALL BASEBALL FANS SHOULD SUPPORT A CAMPAIGN TO HAVE IT MOVED TO AN AREA AT COOPERSTOWN. IF WE CAN MOVE A SPACE SHUTTLE FROM ONE COAST TO THE OTHER, WE CAN FIND A WAY TO SAVE THIS HISTORICAL PIECE OF BASEBALLS GENESIS.
