Pictures of the Yankees 2009 World Series Ring 2

Here are some pictures of the ring that the Yankees received today as part of their opening day ceremony via MLB’s Twitter account.

This is George Steinbrenners ring. In the past his ring has been slightly different, usually bigger, than the rings they hand out to all of the players. I’m not sure if that is the case this year. This is also the first time that the ring is made out of white, not yellow, gold.

What do you think? I like it. I think it’s one of the better rings they’ve given out in recent history.

It has a nice ring to it.

Rob, on "Fack Youk" you suggested you might want to take a bus down to Baltimore for the Yanks-Orioles series on April 27, 28 and 29. You can go to Port Authority and leave at 10 in the morning, be in downtown Baltimore at 3:35 in the afternoon, and the terminal is within walking distance of the Camden Yards complex. A round-trip ticket is $65, or less, maybe much less, depending on when and how you purchase. Go to http://www.greyhound.com and check it out.

Actually, the train is probably a better option, more seats available, and though it'll be closer to $100 it's faster and a smoother ride.

The last time I went to Camden Yards, September '04, I saw almost as many different uniform numbers on Yankee T-shirts at Harborplace (the mall just east of the ballpark) as I usually do in The Bronx. Michael Kay calls it "The Really South Bronx." They hate us there, but what can they do?
