Yankees 2010 22nd Round Draft Pick: Trevor Johnson

Name: Trevor Johnson
Ht: 6′3″
Wt: 190
B/T: L/L
DOB: 7-29-88
School level: FR

Trevor Johnson is a tall, skinny, left handed pitcher who is coming out of a two-year school called College of the Desert. He’s just off his freshman year and is currently pitching for the Anchorage Bucs in Alaska this summer. He sounds like a typical fastball/curveball/changeup lefty. He’s a starter.

Baseball America didn’t have anything on him and there really isn’t a whole lot on him at all. There might be a lack of information about him because he only played one year of varsity baseball in high school.

I did find this from MLB.com:

Only a freshman, Johnson went 4-2 with a 2.69 ERA for the Roadrunners. Perhaps his most impressive statistic, though, is that he completed five of his nine starts on the season.

Also, this is unconfirmed, but apparently he’s signed already.
