Yankees Draft Profiles Rounds 1-39

We here are Bronx Baseball Daily are running through the draft picks, all 50 players that the Yankees drafted will be profiled. It’s been a long process, but so far we have gone through and profiled every player from rounds 1-39.

It’s a lot to take in at once so I have provided this handy post with links to each player we’ve covered so far.

Conor Mullee is a raw and interesting talent capable of hitting 94 MPH. Martin Viramontes is a signablity case and a Scott Boras client. Josh Dezse is impressive as he’s a high schooler who can throw up to 95 MPH. Stewart Ijames has a bat with potential. Zach Nuding is a big guy who can ramp it upto 97 MPH. Mike Hachadorian is an intimidating pitcher at 6’5″. Cameron Hobson has a school record for strikeouts. James Ramsay and Jaycob Brugman are part of the trend of drafting outfielders at the end of the draft.

One Response to Yankees Draft Profiles Rounds 1-39

This is exciting – now I'm interested to see (a) who signs and (b) if they can actually reproduce anything. I look at the minor leagues and I trust the development of the pitchers. Contreras et al have really gotten their pitchers to perform. I mean, David Phelps, Adam Warren, Graham Stonebrunner, Hector Noesi, Ivan Nova, they all throw strikes. It's in no small part to the development and teaching they get from the system coaches. I would even say look at Tyler Clippard and Ted Lily. They both came through the system. While not in the highest regard like CC or AJ, they are both very serviceable Major Leaguers and then some.
