Yankees Will Interview Gil Patterson Thursday

Via Sam Borden of the Journal News:

Hearing that the current plan is for Yankees to interview Gil Patterson for their pitching coach opening on Thursday.

As far as we know this is the first interview the Yankees are conducting for their pitching coach. Patterson is a former Yankees minor league instructor and currently works in the Oakland A’s system as a roving pitching instructor for the minor leagues. He has been granted permission to speak with the Yankees.

Depending on the source Patterson or Mike Harkey are the favorites to replace Dave Eiland as the Yankees pitching coach. CC Sabathia endorsed Harkey in the last week.
