Padres close to signing free-agent RHP Dustin Moseley. Major-league deal.
The Yankees tried to re-sign Dustin Moseley and were even willing to give him a major league deal. Apparently though Moseley wanted a situation where he could get more playing time.
San Diego may be a great situation for him. It’s likely that he’ll get more playing time, but he gets a chance to pitch half of his games in a very pitcher’s friendly park. That should help his career pretty well.
