David Cone is Coming Back to YES Network

Via Joel Sherman of the NY Daily News:

Saw David Cone at BAT Dinner. Says he is going back to do 25 games on YES.

This is great news. I loved hearing David Cone when he did broadcasts in the past and it was a shame that he left last year. Not only is he funny in the booth, but he is very knowledgable about pitching and the game.

The only thing that could make this better in my opinion is if he replaces Tino Martinez who was incredibly stiff in filling in for Coney last season.

Actually, when I saw the headline, I was hoping it would say that David Cone Is Coming Back to Pitch.

Given the current state of our rotation and all.

Great news! Love his style of broadcasting. Singleton is the best. Cone and "Singey" are a great team.
