Orioles Sign Vladimir Guerrero

The Orioles have had a hard time landing big name free agents this offseason, but they added one, albeit an older one, in Vladimir Guerrero today. According to Enrique Rojas of ESPN deportes the slugger will earn $8 million in 2011.

The Orioles still don’t have much pitching, but they’ll have a much improved lineup after they’ve added Mark Reynolds, J.J. Hardy, and Derrek Lee. If Justin Duchscherer stays healthy, they could actually have a halfway decent season in 2011.

Considering this and other moves that AL East teams have made this offseason, there are bound to be some huge ERA’s coming out of this division next year.
