Yankees Cut 3 More, Roster Down to 34

New York Yankees Ryan PopeThe Yankees cut seven players from the roster before yesterday’s game and they cut three more after the game. This time it was three relievers, LHP Steve Garrison, RHP Ryan Pope, and RHP Eric Wordekemper, according to Marc Carig of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Out of the three of them none of them really had a chance to make the team out of camp and with spring training winding down there aren’t enough innings to go around for guys who aren’t going to make the team. All three pitchers are likely ticketed for Triple-A to start the season and if they have strong seasons they could each be up in the Bronx at some point during the season if there are injuries and they pitch well enough.
