Yankees Cut Hector Noesi, 8 Others

New York Yankees Hector NoesiThe season is getting closer and closer and that means spring training cuts. At the start of spring they had damn near 70 players, but they have cut nine of those players now as they start to get closer to 25.

Hector Noesi was potentially the biggest name they cut as he definitely had a shot at making the rotation due to his spot on the 40-man roster and Triple-A experience. It seems that Noesi wasn’t impressive enough in camp this year, but he’ll go to the minors, work on some stuff, and he’ll be on the short list of call-ups later in the year.

The others included RHP Adam Warren, RHP David Phelps, RHP Brian Anderson, RHP Buddy Carlyle, LHP Andy Sisco, 3B Bradley Suttle, and OF’ers Austin Krum and Daniel Brewer. Of these players only Warren and Phelps even had a tiny chance of making the team.
