Today’s throwing session didn’t go well for the injured Pedro Feliciano who had been shutdown for the past 14 days and he will go for an MRI tomorrow to take a look at a strained triceps muscle near his rotator cuff, according to Marc Carig of the Star-Ledger.
Luis Ayala is also headed toward the DL with a strained lat. Mark Prior is not expected to be a candidate to replace him, according to Carig.
This is not good news for Feliciano who has been at the center of a blame game started by general manager Brian Cashman over the Mets abuse of the lefty. With Ayala going down and Prior not ready to make the jump back to the majors Steve Garrison stands out as a likely person to get called up to the Bronx.

Don't know who will be called up. But Garrison started tonight for AA Trenton & took the loss, 5 R in 3 1/3. So he won't be ready for a few days. Can't see him.
Yeah I saw that later in the day. Well the options are probably Buddy Carlyle or one of the guys one the 40-man roster like Pope or Noesi.
I'm hearing possibly Andy Sisco, a lefty with major league experience, but they'd have to find a way to get him on the 40-man roster.
Cut Ayala. Unless they really like him.
Looks like they like Ayala. Or they really want Noesi to start getting major league innings.
See our answer. Noesi. Being this early, he has just one SWB game under his belt; 5 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 9H, 2 walks and 4 K. 24. No major league games yet, so his debut could be coming soon.
Agree, Ayala does not have any future in the NYY
NYY need a lefthander rush, they could trade Montero.
