Yankees Get Set to Face the Bluejays

aj-burnettThe Yankees have a quick two game series coming up north of the boarder in Toronto, Canada.

A.J. Burnett will look to continue his good start against his former team tonight as he takes on rookie Kyle Drabek, who is the son of former Yankee Doug Drabek. Tomorrow will feature Bartolo Colon‘s first start in Pinstripes as he replaces Phil Hughes who was put on the DL with a “deadarm.” He will face lefty Brett Cecil.

Alex Rodriguez, who left Saturday’s game with a stiff back and oblique, is once again sitting out and will be replaced by Eric Chavez.

Here is tonight’s lineup:

Jeter 6, Granderson 8, Teixeira 3, Cano 4, Swisher 9, Chavez 5, Posada DH, Martin 2, Gardner 7, Burnett 1.

  1. Mike S. says:

Even if Alex is OK tomorrow, I'd DH him. Keep him off the turf, play Nunez at 3B (Lefty Cecil pitching, Nunez needs a game. He only has 1 AB). It also would keep Chavez off the turf tomorrow as well.
