Yankees Sign Minor League Reliever Logan Kensing

Sergio Mitre wasn’t the only pitcher the Yankees added on Wednesday, they also signed Logan Kensing to a minor league contract, according to CAA Baseball.

Kensing has played for the Marlins and Nationals in parts of six seasons in the major leagues. In 134 career appearances he has a 5.81 ERA, a 8.0 K/9, and a 4.9 BB/9. He has dealt with injuries and inconsistency over the years and was out of baseball entirely last season.

He’s back with the Yankees now, but probably won’t see much, or any, time in the Bronx and instead will pitch primarily for Triple-A Scranton. This is purely a depth move.
