Trade Rumors: Yankees Interested in Clippard, Breslow

The Yankees have their eyes on a number of relievers and among them are righty and former Yankee Tyler Clippard and A’s lefty Craig Breslow, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

Same thing goes for Clippard as any right handed reliever, with Rafael Soriano coming back there is less of a need so the price is going to have to fall into the Yankees range for a deal to get done.

Breslow is a bit different. He’s one of the better lefties available so he won’t come cheap, but the Yankees might be more willing to part with some higher level prospects for an impact lefty like they did in 2008 for Damaso Marte. Still, it’s hard to see Cashman overpaying for a reliever.

Let Cashman do his job. We need starters. Does anyone expect to end the season with #2-5 as Burnett, Hughes, Colon, and Garcia?
