It’s July, that means that there are Ty Wigginton/Yankees trade rumors once again. This time may actually make more sense than ever before. Alex Rodriguez is out anywhere from 4-6 weeks with knee surgery and even when he comes back it would be good to have somebody who can play third base regularly, Eric Chavez can’t be counted on.
The Rockies are currently 9.5 games out of first and 11 games out of the Wild-Card race. They should be sellers. Wigginton can not only play third, but second, first, left, and right as well.
