A-Rod Returns to Yankees Lineup on Saturday

Alex Rodriguez missed over a month of baseball when he needed surgery on his knee, but he playing in only four games before he was back on the bench with a jammed thumb. Now after he missed five more games A-Rod is finally back with the Yankees as is in the starting lineup as the third baseman today against the Blue Jays.

He isn’t the only one back in the lineup. After taking yesterday off Jesus Montero is back as the DH, batting seventh against lefty Ricky Romero. This is just his second career game after he went 0-for-4 in his major league debut against Boston on Thursday.

Mark Teixeira is once again out of the Yankees lineup. He is day-to-day after getting his in the knee Thursday night against Boston’s Alfredo Aceves. He isn’t expected to miss much time, but could be out all weekend.
