CC Sabathia Done for the Season

Jack Curry of the YES Network reported that CC Sabathia has been shutdown for the remainder of the season after last night’s 127-pitch outing. He will probably pitch a simulated game on Sunday that will line him up to start game one of the ALDS.

So much for 20 wins. Sabathia reached 19 wins on September 19 and picking up no. 20 seemed like a matter of time. Unfortunately that never happened and now 20 wins doesn’t seem nearly as important as having The Big Man fresh to go in game one.
