2 More Among Yankees September Call-Ups

UPDATE: One more on the way to the Yankees, left handed pitcher Raul Valdes, according to Joel Sherman of the NY Post. Valdes is interesting because he does have a outside chance of making the postseason roster if he does well with the small chance he has.

ORIGINAL POST: Right handed relief pitcher Lance Pendleton will also be called up to the Yankees today as the rosters expand from 25 to 40, according to Chad Jennings of the Journal News.

This brings the list of call-ups up to five and brings the Yankees roster to 30 players now. The others include top prospect Jesus Montero, righty Scott Proctor, outfielder Chris Dickerson, and infielder Brandon Laird.

Pendleton has played in 11 games over two stints for the Yankees this season and despite being very wild he was somewhat effective putting up a 3.21 ERA. Down in Triple-A he put up a 3.10 ERA, 6.1 K/9, and a 3.2 BB/9 over 66.2 innings and 18 games.
