Yankees Trade Rumor: White Sox want Ubaldo Package for Danks

The White Sox GM Kenny Williams officially declared his team in rebuilding mode yesterday so it would appear that they will be motivated sellers this offseason.

They are asking for quite a bit for starting pitcher John Danks though as Buster Olney of ESPN reported that they are looking for a similar package to the one the Rockies got for Ubaldo Jimenez, who they dealt to the Indians last July.Rumor: White Sox want Ubaldo Package for Danks

The Yankees weren’t willing to meet the Rockies demands for Jimenez last July, but that potentially had more to do with perceived shoulder issues rather than not necessarily liking the package. Danks is on the verge of becoming a free agent though and is not regarded as having as much potential as Jimenez, two things working against Danks.

The Ubaldo package included four prospects including two first-round pitchers. So far the White Sox have asked the Yankees to include both Manny Banuelos and Jesus Montero in a deal which obviously won’t happen. They are said to like catcher Austin Romine too.

This is why Kenny William is a moron. Look at Ubaldo's best year and then look at Danks. What on earth makes Williams think he deserves the same haul for Danks??
