Swisher has brief return before suffering another injury

The Yankees got some good news as Nick Swisher (left groin) returned to the lineup last night along with Russell Martin (calf) and Robinson Cano (hand), but Swisher didn’t last long. He had to leave the game with tightness in his right groin after just a few innings.

According to Erik Boland of Newsday, no tests are planned and instead he will rest “a couple of days” as he tries to get ready for Opening Day. There are still 16 days left between then and now so he should be ready to go by then, but that is far from certain at this point as groin injuries can occasionally linger and Swisher seems to be dealing with two of them now.
