BBDP April 23: Segedin drops a bomb as Tampa loses

BBDP MVP: Rob Segedin, 2/4 with homerun number four on the season.

Only one game today, at High-A Tampa. Triple-A Empire State was postponed.

High-A Tampa:

Eddy Sosa: 1/4, 2 K (.258)
Kelvin Castro: 0/4, 1 K (.226)
Rob “Seggy” Segedin: 2/4, 2 R, HR (4), RBI (.308). He’s really starting to heat up. He’s 6 for his last 11.
Kyle “K-Roll” Roller: 2/4, R (.235) Also hitting much better recently. 5 for his last 10 with three walks.
JR Murphy: 1/3, BB (.255)
Ramon Flores: 1/4, RBI, K (.200)
Shane Brown: 0/4 (.188)
Jose Mojica: 0/4, 2 K (.275)
Shane Greene: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 5 BB, 5 K (3.15 ERA). I don’t know what’s with the minor league starters this year, but quite a few of them are having these 5-6 walk games. He’s off to a very good start though so I can forgive him.
Kramer Sneed: 0.1 IP, H, 3 ER, 2 BB (10.29). Left with the bases loaded in the top of the 8th and no outs. Pinder let in all three of the runs with a walk and a hit.
Branden Pinder: 2 IP, H, 0 ER, BB, 5 K (5.11 ERA). Well, he’s no David “Houdini” Robertson but he still pitched two strong innings overall.
