After the Yankees lost the the Rangers on Tuesday night, Yankees manager Joe Girardi decided that Freddy Garcia will make his start on Saturday as scheduled, according to Chad Jennings of the Journal News.
With Garcia struggling so much early on this season this is not exactly the best news to hear. However, the Yankees do need to know if he is capable of turning his slow start around before Andy Pettitte comes back. If he can, then they may opt to go with Phil Hughes in the bullpen and keep Garcia in the rotation. Although that will only happen if Garcia does indeed turn his start around.
