Girardi expects to reveal Opening Day roster by Wednesday

The lineup is set, the rotation is set, but the Yankees have to figure out who will get the final two spots on the roster. So when will we find out who gets the final two spots? Sounds like we’ll find out on Wednesday.

“I think we’ll probably have discussions over the next few days,” manager Joe Girardi told Chad Jennings of the Journal News. “You want to let guys know where they’re going and make sure they’re prepared for their season. I wouldn’t really want to do it Thursday afternoon. I would expect to do it before that.”

Clay Rapada is expected to be named as the second lefty out of the bullpen. It is also expected that one of the three, Adam Warren, David Phelps, and D.J. Mitchell, will be named long-man out of the bullpen. Neither of those are guaranteed though and Justin Maxwell and Bill Hall probably still have a chance to make the roster.
