Pineda throws a bullpen and Cashman declares him “all good”

Michael Pineda threw his bullpen a day early on Monday, he threw 26 pitches and afterward GM Brian Cashman declared everything, “all good,” according to Marc Carig of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Things will now start to speed up for Pineda. He’s set to throw another bullpen in two or three days and there is talk that he could even potentially get into a minor league rehab game this weekend.

If that actually happens then Pineda could be back a lot closer to the beginning of May than I had predicted yesterday. However, the Yankees have been very cautious with him so far, it seems unlikely that is going to change anytime soon.
