The Yankee beat: prospects, saves, and Cano

The Yankees got a nice bounce back win against the Twins tonight as CC Sabathia put some early game struggles behind him and pitched very well while the offense put together an 8 run performance as they beat the Twins 8-3. Here is our recap. This is what the Yankees blogosphere is talking about tonight.

  • The Yankee Analysts takes a look at how some of the Yankees top prospects have started. The guys down in Charleston are killing it.
  • thanks Tom Verducci for being one of the few MSM reporters who openly questions when managers play for a save while wasting some of their best relievers in the bullpen. One of my biggest pet peeves.
  • River Ave Blues considers Robinson Cano‘s slow start. I’ve also noticed that he has struggled against lefties (.399 OPS vs LHP so far).
