Yesterday we got news that the Yankees top prospect, Manny Banuelos, was placed on the DL with an elbow injury. Anytime that happens the first thing that comes to mind is Tommy John Surgery which means a year on the DL.
Fortunately, Banuelos’ injury doesn’t appear to be too serious. Josh Norris of the Trentonian reported that the Yankees sent Banuelos for a MRI which came back clean and have determined that he has, “a tired arm.” Apparently the DL stint was only precautionary. Can’t be too careful with the organization’s top arm.

Every time this kid has a rough game they have an excuse for him and put him on the DL.
