Nunez out 3-4 days with thumb injury

The Yankees sent infielder Eduardo Nunez back to the minors to play everyday while he works on his defense, but a thumb injury has put that on hold for now.

“He has a problem at the base of the [right] thumb,” Cashman told George King of the NY Post. “He will be out three or four days.”

It’s nothing serious, Nunez will miss just three or four days so he’ll be back to playing everyday in no time. In three games down there he was hitting .231/.231/.231/.462.
