The Yankee beat: bases loaded, Austin, and bad umpires

The Yankees got Angel’ed last night as Dan Haren got help from the umpires and some great defense to stifle their bats and Andy Pettitte got no help from Albert Pujols, who put an exclamation point on his only bad inning, en route to an easy 5-1 Angels victory. Here is the recap and graph.

Here is what the Yankees blogosphere has been discussing.

  • River Ave Blues discusses the Yankees problem with the bases loaded this season. Last year they hit .337/.354/.604 with the sacks loaded, this year that’s down to .151/.222/.302.
  • The Yankees Analysts talks about prospect Tyler Austin and says that he could crack the Top 100 prospects in baseball this year.
  • hates umpires and explains to everyone why they suck.
