The Yankee beat: the Mariano Rivera edition

The Yankees got a much needed easy win tonight as CC Sabathia took the ball all the way to the 9th inning to David Robertson who took over and struck out the side. Not a save situation, but good to see him at the top of his game as he takes over for Mo. Here is our recap.

And here is what the Yankees blogosphere was talking about today.

  • The Yankee Analysts wonders if Mariano Rivera can return in 2012. It isn’t likely.
  • Subway Squawkers shows that even Mets fans have great respect for Rivera.
  • Pinstripe Alley took a look back at Mo’s 608th save that for a time looked like it might have been his last. Still might be if he can’t successfully come back at age 43.
