D-Rob to be reactivated Friday

David Robertson threw his second consecutive rehab game on Tuesday and will rejoin the Yankees on Wednesday before being activated on Friday, according to Chad Jennings of the Journal News.

D-Rob has been on the DL for nearly a full month now with a strained oblique. He had taken over for Mariano Rivera as the team’s closer, but since the injury Rafael Soriano has had the job and done nicely. It seems like Soriano will retain the closer role even after D-Rob comes back.

Robertson had a 2.51 ERA, a 15.1 K/9, and a 3.8 BB/9 in 14.1 innings before he got hurt. His 4.00 K/BB ratio was the best he has had in his entire career.
