With Adam Warren starting yesterday and Freddy Garcia starting on Monday, the Yankees needed a long-man for last night’s game and decided to recall David Phelps from the minor leagues.
It was a good thing they did that too as Warren was hit hard and needed to be pulled during the 3rd inning. Ryota Igarashi was sent down to make room for Phelps on the roster.
