The Yankee Beat: Dickey, RISP, and Chavez

I have been waiting for today for a week now since I saw that CC Sabathia would be taking on R.A. Dickey, and his 43 inning scoreless streak, and the Mets. This latest round of the Subway Series is tied at 1-1 and the Yankees dropped two of three to the Braves to start the week so today’s game would not only take the series, but get them to 3-3 for the week.

Here’s what the blogosphere has been discussing lately.

The Captain’s Blog takes a look at the Yankees struggles with runners in scoring position. At a certain point it isn’t just bad luck.

Bleeding Yankee Blue talks about the importance of Eric Chavez. Despite his extreme struggles with RISP, he has been a solid bench piece.
