Yankees activate Eduardo Nunez off the MiLB DL

After playing in rehab games in the GCL this past week, the Yankees have activated Eduardo Nunez from the minor league disabled list and transferred him to High-A Tampa for now, according to Mike Vander Woude.

This might simply be a move to show the other 29 teams that he is progressing along with his injury before the trade deadline. He’s likely hanging out at the Yankees training facility while he gets back to 100 percent and then will head to Triple-A. It’s unlikely that he will be back in the Bronx before September.
