Yankees ace CC Sabathia is on the DL with a sore elbow, but he expects to pitch on Friday after he threw a 38-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday and felt fine afterward, according to Sweeny Murti of WFAN.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi hasn’t made it official yet, but Sabathia resisted being put on the DL in the first place and has insisted throughout that he would pitch on the first day he was eligible. They’ll probably check with him today and as long as there is no abnormal soreness, expect him to pitch Friday.
