Derek Lowe picks up a save in his Yankee debut

That picture looks weird doesn’t it?

Derek Lowe made his debut with the Yankees tonight. He pitched four shutout innings and allowed just two hits to get the save in a 8-2 victory over the Rangers.

He’s 39 and hasn’t been nearly the same pitcher he used to be since 2009 so it doesn’t seem realistic to expect him to keep this up. For one night at least it was pretty fun to watch though. He did a great job keeping the Texas hitters off balance and had a lot of break to his sinkers.
