Cano could miss a game with an injured hip

It was the play that cost the Yankees the game – Robinson Cano barely missed an infield grounder that allowed the winning run to score. Why didn’t he just dive most wondered…well it turns out he hurt his hip on the play.

“Right when I tried to bend, my left foot just came straight up and I felt my hip,” Cano told Mark Feinsand of the NY Daily News. “It’s tight right now. Hopefully nothing bad or anything.”

“It was grabbing; I didn’t hear anything pop, thank God,” Cano said. “We’ll see what happens tomorrow.”

Cano was seen in the trainer’s room for an extended amount of time after the game with an ice pack on and might not be able to play tonight against the Rays.

Talk about a guy the Yankees can’t afford to lose right now.
