Teixeira to miss another 10-14 days

Mark Teixeira went in for a MRI to check out his calf following the setback he suffered on Saturday night and it showed an “irritation” which means he’ll miss at least another 10-14 days, according to Erik Boland of Newsday.

The setback was obviously bad news as the Yankees miss both Teixeira’s bat and glove, but it’s not the worst case scenario. With 22 games remaining that will give him just enough time to make it back and play a few games before the playoffs. That is if they make the playoffs.

One Response to Teixeira to miss another 10-14 days

  1. Keena says:

Steve Pearce is a beast. Slide him in at first and we'll be just fine. He's my dark horse playoff MVP.
