To the surprise of no one, the Yankees have officially exercised their options for Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, and David Aardsma, according to Mark Feinsand of the NY Daily News.
Cano and Granderson’s options were both worth $15 million each while Aardsma’s is worth just $500K. This leaves just Rafael Soriano as a player with a decision. He’s basically got a player option worth $14 million that comes with a $1.5 million buyout that the Yankees have to pay if he decides to leave. All the rumors point to him leaving.
