Yankees injury updates: Jeter and Hughes

A couple of quick injury related notes.

  • Per Jon Heyman, Derek Jeter will undergo surgery to repair his broken ankle. The recovery time is expected to be 4-5 months which mean a shortened spring training or a slightly delayed start to the season.
  • Phil Hughes left last night’s game with a sore back, but per Joel Sherman, he has already been cleared to throw a bullpen tomorrow.
