Listen: I join IIATMS Radio to talk A-Rod, Yankees payroll, and the AL East

I joined Brien Jackson and Stacey Gotsulias over at It’s About the Money, Stupid on their new podcast last night to talk some Yankees baseball. We probably talked mostly about Alex Rodriguez, but we also discussed the Yankees budget and the American League East. I had a great time and hopefully they’ll have me back on again soon.

The entire thing ran about 45 minutes. You can listen to it right here or you can download the episode here. Also, be sure to check out past and future IIATMS Radio shows.

Great job Rob! I was very impressed with you on the show. I have to say though, I don't agree that the Yankees are letting "good players" go. They let some above average players go. They re-signed the three best free agents they were about to lose. They didn't re-sign Swisher and Martin. Honestly, I think people forget Martin couldn't hit the backside of a barn for 90% of the season. He got hot at the end, but then he sucked again in the playoffs. Aside from losing his defense, I don't think we're missing out on much letting him go.

As far as Swisher goes, how long do you want to keep a guy around who has literally NEVER hit in the playoffs. He's great during the season, and you have to get to the playoffs to win there, but I think even George Steinbrenner was willing to let people go who didn't perform in the playoffs, regardless of what they did during the season.
