Yankees add former Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu to scouting staff 1

The Yankees have added former Mariners manager, Don Wakamatsu, to their pro scouting staff, according to Ken Davidoff of the NY Post.

Wakamatsu managed the Mariners from 2009-2010 and since then he’s served as the Blue Jays bench coach. Not really familiar with him beyond that so it’s hard to say what this means exactly, but it’s never a bad thing to have a guy with his experience scouting.

He used former Yankees World Series MVP John Wetteland as his bullpen coach in Seattle so perhaps this could get Wetteland back in with the Yankees organization somehow.

Don't forget about the WAKSTER when he was catcher for those VANCOUVER CANADIANS back in the early 90s. Have a good one and so long for now.
