I missed a couple of important things over the past few days because of the Christmas break so I wanted to point them out real quick.
- Nick Swisher signed a four-year, $56 million deal with the Cleveland Indians.
- The Mariners signed Raul Ibanez to a one-year, $2.75 million deal plus another potential $1.25 million in incentives.
- The Diamondbacks signed Cody Ross to a three-year, $26 million deal.
- The Marlins signed John Maine, who spent 2012 in the Yankees system, to a minor league deal.
- The Red Sox acquired Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan along with infielder Brock Holt for righties Mark Melancon and Stolmy Pimentel, first baseman Jerry Sands, and infielder Ivan De Jesus Jr.

Swish's production will no doubt decrease in the Cleveland lineup–his number with As & Chisox were lower–56 mil say what??–hard to say but great deal for Sox w/Hanrahan
Great move for Swish………no playoff pressure.
No interest in the Andruw Jones Christmas day drunk-wife-beating? Japan still wants him tho.
