The Yankees have a deal in place with designated hitter Travis Hafner and could announce the deal today or maybe tomorrow, according to Chad Jennings of the Journal News.

    Nice, we needed a strong bat to scare pitchers. I like the mix of Granderson, Hafner, Teixeira and Cano with Jeter, Ichiro and Gardner

    Hafners is a capable hitter, but his health is an issue.
