Introducing Our SI Yanks Coverage

Staten island yankees stadiumOn June 17, 2013 I will begin my eleventh year covering the Staten Island Yankees.   This season I have teamed up with Bronx Baseball Daily to bring something unique to the Yankees fans.

During the 2013 season I will be providing Bronx Baseball Daily with a photoblog of each game I attend. Each post will not only feature game photos but an inside look at what it is like to cover minor league baseball. The sights and people you meet on a daily basis. It is sure to be a great feature on the blog.

To kick things off I am inviting all Yankees fans to send me your questions for the Staten Island Yankees players.  I will ask the questions tomorrow during Media Day and at points throughout the 2013 season.

Feel free to comment on this post with your question.

About Me
I’m Robert Pimpsner and for eleven years I have been covering Staten Island Yankees baseball for various outlets.   I began covering the team for my website Baby-Bombers.com in 2003 and then branched out to contribute to Our Sports Central, Gotham Baseball, Baseball Digest.com, Pinstripes Plus, and more.

  1. Are the @SIYanks be bringing home the bacon, bringing food scraps to make compost at the #Greenmarket, or both? http://ow.ly/m371y

Nice to have you aboard Robert.

  4. Most people probably don't remember, but Pimpsner was a big reason this blog even exists. The site used to be bronxbaseballdaily.baby-bombers.com for almost a year. That was 2008-09. I'm not quite sure when I dropped the B-B.com end of it. I think it was in July or August 2009.

Those were the days Rob. Rob and I covered the SI Yanks together during the 2008 season. When I was a bit more naive.
