Yankees 2013 37th round draft pick: Joshua Pettitte

37th Round, 1124th Overall: Joshua Pettitte, RHP, Deer Park HS (TX), Bats: Right, Throws: Right, 6-foot-1, 190-pounds

Josh Pettitte had a 11-0 record with a 0.65 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 79 innings this season. His velocity improved from 83 mph as a junior to 90 mph as a senior. It doesn’t sound like the Yankees are going to sign the son of Andy Pettitte though as he has a scholarship to Baylor.

“To be honest, I don’t have a number (money or draft round) in mind,” he said. “I’m open to everything. If I end up in the top 10 rounds, it will be a huge honor and we’ll make a decision from there. Either way it’s an exciting time.”

Good for him that's great… That's hard already coming from money and your dream is knocking at the door what to do.. Most that don't come from money I think would sign and finish college later… But money can gamble and go to Baylor .hope it all works out for the kid.. 11-0 .093era in 79 innings that's pretty good. 90mph ball
