Yankees Injury Update: Romine, Nova, Logan

Since there’s no gigantic headline today (it’s been pretty quiet in Yankee Land), let’s go over injury updates on the walking wounded.

— Let’s start with Boone Logan. Logan said he was feeling spunky today and he was going to play catch. “What do I have to lose, besides my career?”

— Ivan Nova threw his normal bullpen today. He said that the forearm felt good and that he should be ready to go for his start on Saturday.

Austin Romine said that he feels better but he’s going to do an impact test to get an update on his concussion status. He’s still unsure on when he will return to the Yankee lineup.

The Yankees called off BP earlier today due to rain and the humorous part about it were the pitchers reactions. They were thrilled. I guess the only one that really likes to shag fly balls in the outfield is Mariano Rivera.

Speaking of Rivera, the Boston Red Sox are going to honor him on Sunday night, prior to the 8 p.m. game between the Yankees and Red Sox. Sunday will be the final regular season game at Fenway for Rivera–but there is the possibility of the postseason.

The Yankees are still alive, buy Yankees tickets here to see them in person.
