Source: Yankees to play two exhibition games in Panama City

Mariano Rivera 11

Remember a couple of nights ago I made a blog post about Mariano Rivera wanting the Yankees to play exhibition baseball in his hometown of Panama? Well according to a source, it looks like it’s going to happen next season.

According to a tweet from Mark Feinsand of the Daily News,┬áthe Yankees are going to play in Panama City on March 15 & March 16 vs. the Miami Marlins. The official announcement isn’t expected for another 1-2 weeks but as we wait, can we just take time to marvel at how much power Mariano Rivera has in the baseball world? I guess that’s what happens when you’re the best/most respected closer in baseball history.

I actually do not know, but that's a very good question. I'd like to see Mo play one last time.
