Pirates and Yankees complete Stewart trade

The Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees completed the Chris Stewart trade this afternoon with the Pirates sending RHP Kyle Haynes to the Yankees as the PTBNL (Player To Be Named Later).

Haynes 22, pitched in the South Atlantic League in 2013, going 1-5 with a 2.38 ERA in 83.1 IP. Haynes was drafted in the 20th round in the 2012 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates out of Virgina Commonwealth University.

He’s not the intimidating reliever Brian Cashman wwas looking for (part of the reason is he’s in A-Ball) but hey, it’s a start.
