Report: Reynolds, Roberts, Young are on Yankees radar

Mark Reynolds 2

The Yankees may not be done with the free agent market just yet.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Yankees currently have Mark Reynolds, Brian Roberts and Michael Young on their radar. The Yankees are in need of a second basemen since they lost Robinson Cano to free agency.

Reynolds is no stranger to the Yankees since he was with the club during the second half of the 2013 season while the Yankees have shown interest in Young for a while, including last season when they were attempting to acquire him before the trade deadline.

The Yankees currently have Kelly Johnson as their second basemen but it’s unrealistic to expect Johnson to play all 162 games. Let’s see if the Yankees are able to acquire any of the three players listed above–or if the Yankees will let them get away.

Of the three, Roberts worries me the most. He hasn't played in more than 77 games/season since 2009.

  2. olie says:

Reynolds would be my choice! He can play first when Tex gets hurt again.
